Dorothy M. Riley 75, A retired Banker of Ridgeland, SC transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, December 17,2017

Dorothy M. Riley was born June 8, 1942 to the late, Virginia Chisholm Mitchell and the late, Jesse Johnson Sr.  On December 17, 2017, she departed this life at Golden Life Assisted Living in Waldorf, Maryland.

Dorothy affectionately known to her family and friends as “Dot” was a native of Ridgeland, South Carolina.  She attended Savannah High School and graduated from Savannah State University.  Prior to retiring, Dorothy worked as a personal banker for South Carolina Bank and Trust.  Along with Dot’s commitment to family, she was devoted to God.  Dorothy accepted Christ as her personal savior early in life.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories her son, Eric (Shelly) Mitchell; her step mother, Delores Johnson; brothers, Walter (Cynthia) Mitchell, Anthony (Celese) Mitchell, Jesse Johnson Jr, and Ervin Johnson; sisters, Brenda Shiggs, Geri (Michael) Jenkins, Pamela Harris, Jeanette (Keith) Coney, Denise Johnson, Margie Johnson, and Terry Johnson; a  loving host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends

Celebration of life: Saturday,December 23, 2017 at 11:a.m. at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Center in Ridgeland ,SC

Interment: Grahamville Cemetery Ridgeland,SC
