Elizabeth Stewart Obituary

Elizabeth “Liz” Stewart went home to our Father in Heaven August 8th 2019. Liz lived a good
life, she was like a free bird in her youth. She experienced many things in her 62 years of life.
When her vision began to fail her many years ago, due to diabetes, she tried to adjust to her
new way of living, she ordered assistive devices from the commission for the Blind and
attended school at the SC School for the Def and Blind in Columbia, SC to learn how to live
with her disability. Continuous health issues didn’t allow Liz to complete her schooling; and
over time, she began to lose her confidence in living and maintaining on her own. One thing
she didn’t lose was her contagious humor...humor that could make anyone laugh, even after a
hard conversation. Momma, you lived free, loved hard and fought a good fight through all your
ailments. We are forever proud of you and your journey...you left this world trying to live
independently. Greater than any accolades we can give on this earth, our Father in Heaven has
received you. We can rest assured that He has said to you. “Well done my good and faithful
servant.
