We have come to celebrate the life of Ms. Marjorie Youmans who departed at her home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. She was born to the late Mr. Buster Youmans Sr. and the late Mrs. Lucille Deloach Youmans on January 15, 1942.
Ms. Margie was a loving mother, grandmother, auntie and sister. As a child, “Margie” attended school in the Jasper County school district. She later moved to Brooklyn, NY where she worked as a teacher’s aide. Margie started volunteering at St. Mary’s Hospital in Brooklyn, NY where she found her passion for nursing. She became a nurse and retired from St. Mary’s Hospital after 32 years.
Ms. Margie was blessed with three daughters: Shirley Wright, St. Petersburg, FL; one grandson reared in the home, Lester (Julliette) Smith; three sisters: Shirley and Lachell Youmans, Rivers Hill, SC and Shanay Youmans, Texas; four sisters-in-law: Gloria Youmans, Philadelphia, PA, Edith Wright, Gifford, SC, Annie Lee Youmans, Elizabeth, NJ and Louise Wright, Estill, SC; one brother-in-law, Lee Abron; a devoted friend, Janie Wright, Robertsville, SC; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held Sunday, July 29, 2018 in the Legacy Chapel from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Celebration of life will be held Monday, July 30, 2018 in the Legacy Chapel at 11:30 am.
Marjorie Youmans 76, of the Rivers Hill community passed away at home surrounded by her family and friends.
