Thomas Edward Orr

Thomas Orr, 74 of Estill, SC entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.

Thomas Edward Orr, son of the late Isaiah and Bessie Orr. He was born in Hampton South Carolina on September 2, 1943. He was married to Mrs. Daisy Orr for 47 years. He had (8) siblings to proceed him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Daisy, Sons: Jarmine Orr, Orangeburg SC, Shawn Orr of Estill, Tommy Grant of New York. Six grandchildren: Jaylen Orr, Quinshawn and Chase Singleton, Gaberila, Charmane, and Kyla Orr.

Siblings: Benjamin (Vera) Orr and Eugene Orr of Estill SC, Willie (Sara) and Lillie (David) Walker both of Hampton, SC. Glenn (Debra) Orr of Aiken, SC. And Vivian (Jerry) Gordon of Columbia SC.

He became a member of Lovewell Baptist Church at an Early age. He was a deacon, member of finance committee, worked with the church building fund and with church up keep.

He was a graduate of Estill training school. He was an avid reader who kept up with current events and loved politics, sports and other issues. The Lord was a part of his life. He was a quiet worshipper, he spent his last night singing and praying. His first job as a young man was with Bostick Oil company as a truck driver. With his experience as a truck driver he became employed by waste management until he retired. His nieces, nephews and friends will truly miss him. Rest my husband, my father, and granddad, we already miss you.  

A public viewing will be held in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. 

Celebration of life will take place Monday, March 26, 2018 at 3:00 pm in the auditorium of Estill Elementary. 

Interment:  New Castle Baptist Church Cemetery 225 New Castle Road. Pineland, SC
