Willie Washington

Willie Clarence Washington Jr. was born June 24, 1947
in Savannah , Georgia. On Sunday, September 29,
2019, God saw fit to call him home to eternal rest. He
was the oldest of nine children and the son of the late
Willie Clarence Washington Sr. and the late Thelma
Fair Washington.
Willie was preceded in death by two brothers and a
sister, Jimmy Washington , Norman
“Laughy”
Washington, and Madeline
“Katie” Washington .
He was educated within the Chatham County School
District and graduated from Sol C Johnson High
School in Savannah, Georgia.
Willie was a dedicated employee for many years with
Shearouse Lumber Company of Pooler, Georgia.
Mr. Washington
’s wittiness and kind
-hearted spirit has
touched lives and will be missed by many.
Willie leaves behind his siblings: Mack Washington,
Rose Campbell (Arthur) both of Atlanta, Georgia;
James Washington, Bobby Washington (Gail) both of
Savannah, Georgia, and Mima
“Pam” Wilson of
Hardeeville, South Carolina. Along with a host of
nieces, nephews, step
-children, cousins and grieving
friends.

Willie Washington 72, of Savannah GA, departed this earthly life on Sunday, September 29, 2019.

Funeral services will be held Saturday,  October 5, 2019 at Prophecy church on the rock of the living God at 3PM. Mr. Washington will repose a hour prior to service.
