Barbara Pugh

I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven.
Mother Barbara Ann Polite Pugh was the daughter of Dorothy Polite Ling.
Barbara was born October 22nd, 1949 in Jasper County, South Carolina.
At an early age, she was converted and joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Pineland, SC where she served as an usher. She attended the public schools of Jasper County.
Mother Pugh was a bus driver and former employee of Jasper County. She was dedicated and enjoyed helping others around the yard.
Our beloved Barbara transitioned from earth on March 29, 2023 at her residence in Beaufort, SC.
She is preceded in death by: two daughters, Beatrice Primus and Sharon Ling, and her brother, Calvin Manuel Ling
Barbara leaves to cherish her memories children: Darlene (Larry Garvin) Pineland SC, Patrice (Lorenzo White) Charleston, SC, Barbara White, Beaufort SC; Her siblings include: Hazel Pollins, Springfield MA, Catherine Scott, Robertsville SC, Josephine (George) Elmore, Allendale SC, Ambrance (Johnny) Garvin, Pineland SC, Shirley (Anthony) Sapp, Estill SC, Jonice Singleton, Scotia SC, Rose (Pastor Ben) Holmes, Pineland SC, and one brother, Anthony (Pamela) Polite, Estill SC; her loving grandkids: Tito, Larry, Jerome, Alex, Travis, Ashley, Brittany, Jonathan, Loranzo, Denise, Courtney, Michele, Selena, Shareena, Anastiasa, Denzel, Ricky, Ricardo, Denzel, Marcus, Natasha, and forth-eight (48) great-grands; Aunt Mamie Polite, Philadelphia PA; Two special sons-in-law: Jerome Ling of Garnett, SC, Ricky Primus, Port Wentworth, GA; Special god-brother: Calvin Scott; Special god-child: Hillary Jones, Estill, SC; Special friends: Nancy Speaks, Linda Smith and Mary Drayton.

Barbara Pugh 74, of Beaufort, passed away at home on March 30, 2023.
