Bradford Grant Obituary

Bradford J. Grant, 56, of Holyoke, Massachusetts passed away peacefully while surrounded by family and friends on January 26, 2024. He was born to Mildred (King) Gadson and the late Robert Lee Grant Jr. in Springfield, Massachusetts on January 27, 1967. Bradford was baptized at Alden Baptist Church in Springfield, Massachusetts at a young age, and later joined King Branch Baptist Church in Garnett, South Carolina as well. He graduated from Estill High School in South Carolina and returned to Massachusetts to receive his Associate’s Degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Bradford dedicated his career to helping others and worked at multiple local nursing homes and as a traveling Certified Nursing Assistant. He also used his care skills to assist family, including his paternal grandmother, the late Katherine Grant, and his cousin, the late Annie Lee Beckett.
Bradford loved to spend time with family and friends. However, Bradford put a smile on the face of everyone he encountered. Bradford enjoyed entertaining and would perform for all. He was a performer extraordinaire. Bradford had an amazing, one-of-a-kind and welcoming personality.
In addition to his father and paternal grandmother, he was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Robert Lee Grant, Sr. and his maternal grandparents William and Sadie King. He was also predeceased by his aunts and uncles Ada Belle Beckett, Inez Carter, James Deloach, Leola Gant, Jocephus Grant, Rev. Asbury King, James King, Mary Lee King, James Sarge, Florence Sparkman, Lillie Sparks, and Marie Wright.
Bradford is survived by his mother, Mildred (King) Gadson of Garnett, South Carolina; his siblings Terrell Smith of Springfield, Massachusetts, and Robert Grant III (Jeannette) of Atlanta, Georgia, Arlicia Killinger (Zachary) of Warren, Massachusetts, and Chantel Miller and Ariel Lee, both of Springfield, Massachusetts; his aunts and uncles Sam Grant (Lessie), Mary Goodman (Harold), Willie B. Grant, Perry Grant, Richmond Grant, Dorothy Grant, Janet Disco, and Florine Grant, all of Springfield, Massachusetts, Harrison Grant of Feeding Hills, Massachusetts, Oliver King, Sr. of Jersey City, New Jersey, and Ethel King of Savannah, Georgia; his godbrothers Jaquan Wright and Jerome Barnes both of South Carolina and his godsister Jennifer King of South Carolina. Bradford also leaves two godchildren, a host of extended family, and friends.
