Eleanor Everlee Clark, daughter of the late Everlee Hudson and
Peter Horton, was born on February 8, 1944, in Tillman, South
Carolina. She was educated in the public school of Jasper County,
South Carolina. One of five children, Eleanor was preceded in
death by two of her siblings.
At an early age, Eleanor relocated to Stamford, Connecticut, where
she remained for several years. After giving birth to two sons,
Victor Hudson and Reginald Hudson, Sr., Eleanor decided to
migrate back South, where she married Lennville Ronald Clark,
Sr., in November of 1972.
Eleanor was a very compassionate and loving person. She
displayed the true meaning of love and embraced everyone with
open arms. Throughout her lifetime, she was known as a mother
and grandmother to all of whom she touched, regardless of
kinship.
On Thursday, October 1, 2020, Eleanor was called home to be with
her Heavenly Father.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Victor Hudson and
Reginald Hudson, Sr., both of Ridgeland, SC; one adopted
daughter, Antonette Arnold of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Priscilla
Welcome of Stamford, CT; one brother, Joseph (Aunt Nessta)
Hudson of Warner Robins, GA; eleven grandchildren; Shavonn
Hudson of Ridgeland, SC, Regina (Rodney) Williamson of
Stamford, CT, Quixtee (Stasha) Clark, Myron Clark, and Burdale
Clark, all of Burlington, NC; Malcolm Brabham of Ridgeland, SC,
Reginald (Michele) Hudson, Jr., of Hardeeville, SC; Aaron Arnold
and Anton Arnold, both of Atlanta, GA, Shannon Howard and
Brandon Scott, both of Ridgeland, SC; 21 great-grandchildren; one
great great
-grandson; two god
-daughters, Nikki Clark of
Burlington, NC, and Shana Howard of Ridgeland, SC. A host of
other nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives.
Eleanor Clark of Ridgeland, SC departed this earthly life on October 1, 2020.
A public viewing will be held Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Jacob Temple (2274 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC) FROM 5-6 PM
Funeral service for Ms.Clark will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020, at Antioch Baptist Church (7293 Cotton Hill Road, Ridgeland, SC) at 1:00 PM
