Janice Barker-Wilson 59, of Garnett, SC departed this earthly life to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Candler Hospital in Savannah,Ga surrounded by her loving family.
Janice Louise Barker-Wilson was born September 2, 1959, to her parents, James Bell and Rosa Lee Barker both who preceded her in death. She was educated in the public school system of Brooklyn, New York.
Janice moved to Garnett, South Carolina, after relocating from Brooklyn, NY, she joined the Sandhill Baptist Church and remained a member until she was called home. Janice was formerly married to Wylie Wilson. She had two daughters, Tarina (Terry) Englrum and Latonya Barker, who proceeded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter Tarina (Terry) Englrum; five grandchildren Juwan Englrum, Dedrick Ling, Tashaney Ling, Dacien Williams, Tarraia Englrum; three brothers Morgan (Shari) Barker Jr., James Barker, Anthony Brown, Nathaniel Barker. Preceded her in death, four sisters Reverend Linda (Charles) Stanford, Barbara Graves, Gwendolyn Patterson, Georgianna Gillison. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. James Reid, a loving friend for over 30 years or more. Emma Sarge, a favorite cousin.
A public viewing will be held Friday, October, 19, 2018 from 6pm-8pm in the Legacy chapel.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October, 20, 2018 at Sandhill Baptist Church at 11am.
