A Time to be Born:
Born August 31, 1941, the only child to the late Rufus and Kate Pollins. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a young age. She was born in Jasper County and became a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Pineland, SC for many years and eventually joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Pineland, SC.
A Time to Plant:
Educated in Jasper County public schools and played the saxophone for the band. She served in various job capacity until she retired as a paraprofessional from Ridgeland Elementary School.
A time to Love:
She was united in holy matrimony to the late James Peterson.
A time to Mourn:
Beck was preceded in death by her husband, James Peterson, her father, Rufus Pollins, her mother. Kate Pollins. She leaves to cherish his memories and carry on her legacy her two sons, Deacon Nathaniel (Rev. Julia) Lee of Tarboro, SC, Kenneth (Jurgita) Lee of Florida, one daughter, Stacey (Andre’) Wilson of Estill, SC; 6 grandchildren: Denzel (Epiphany) Lee of Orangeburg, SC, Raven Wilson of Columbia, SC, Katelin Lee of Florida, Xavier Lee of Tybranch, SC, , Kenneth Jr., and Karina Lee both of Florida, and a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
Kathy Peterson 82, of Ridgeland, SC passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024, at her daughter's residence surrounded by her family.
