On August 3, 2024, at Orangeburg MUSC, Orangeburg, South Carolina, God in His infinite wisdom saw that Keith’s earthly work was done and called him home to rest peacefully in his palace.“Rock” as so many affectionately called him, was a hardworking, witty, fun-spirited person, but most of all, he was an amazingly loving father, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, and co-worker. To know him was to love him.
Keith graduated from West Hardeeville High “Cobras” Class of
1986. While in high school, he became an early Earner, holding down his first job as a Dishwasher at the Thunderbird Inn. Keith worked for BP Oil for many years, then was employed at Athena for 17 years until his health declined.
“Rock” enjoyed the great outdoors, and has a passion for fishing and crabbing. Yet, his heart was most joyful, being a Dad. His relationship and love for his children was impeccable. He will be deeply missed.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Ann Lee and
Herbert W. Robinson, and his sister, Felicia Renee Lee.
He leaves to cherish his beautiful memories: five wonderful
children: Saivian Kelly, of Hilton Head, SC, Keith Lee, Jr., Kyra Lee Kaheim Lee, and Kaleigh Lee, all of Hardeeville, SC; seven grand-children, Ka’mira Chaney-Nelson, Rayiah Chaney-Nelson, Kemar Kelly, Jerod Robinson, Lola Monroe Robinson, Jade Robinson, and Kameron Robinson; four siblings, Vonda Robinson, Kenneth (Ivory) Lee, both of Hardeeville, SC, Swansetta Baker and Paulette Lee, of Ridgeland, SC; six aunts, Dessie Lee, Rose Ella Lee, Margaret Lee, Helen Bing, Sarah Anderson, and Mrs. Willie Mae Calderon, all of Hardeeville, SC; two uncles, Benjamin Bing and Harold Robinson, both of Hardeeville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a bonus brother, Matthew “Polly” Roundtree, a special cousin, Craig Scott and a dear friend, Jimmy Green.
Keith Lee, 56 of Hardeeville, South Carolina passed away at MUSC Health in Orangeburg on August 3, 2024.
