Margie Gregory Obituary

Her Life’s Journey Margie W. Gregory is the daughter of Freddie D. West and Alberta Aiken West. Margie was born on May 27, 1957, she attended West Hardeeville High School. Margie worked as an Executive Housekeeper for the Radisson Suites Resort of Hilton Head.She also was a Certified Nursing Assistant with Live Oak Hospital and she was Mead Merchants National Association of Female Executives, National Executive Housekeeper Association, Advisory Committee of Beaufort Tech Career Center, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, National Council of Negro Women Incorporated.
She was baptized and joined St. Phillips Baptist church at an early age and later moved and was baptized at the Bethesda Fellowship Church Family. She was an assistant of the Sunbeam Choir, a member of the Senior Sanctuary Choir and Women’s Chorus. She loved Bible Study and Sunday School, cookouts, family gatherings, traveling,crabs and shrimp. She was married to Arnold B. Gregory on October 16, 1993
She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Robert Lee Austin, Jr and Kenneth R.Austin, brothers Freddie Lee, Jr, James Lee, and Roger West, sisters, Mary West andElla Mae McPherson.
Margie departed this life on June 30, 2020 to be with the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted and loving husband, Arnold B. Gregory of 26 1⁄2 years, daughters; Octavia M. Jenkins of Atlanta, GA, Amiya L. Gregory of Lady Island,Jocelyn R. Gregory of Virginia, sons; German P. Gregory of St Helena Island, Donte T.(Denise) Jenkins of Ridgeland, Arnold B. (Tyra) Gregory II, Jacobi H. Gregory(Danielle) of TN; grandchildren; Robert Lee (Bethany) Austin III, Arnold B. GregoryIII, Quinton Martinez, Aaron Gregory, Joshua Martinez, and Anthony Gregory,great-grandchildren; Alyah U. Liddell, Araia B. Austin, London I. Austin, Robert J.Austin IV, sister; Ura Lee Brown of Hardeeville, sisters-in-law; Willie Mae Grant,
Carolyn W. (J.B.) Brown of North Carolina, Mildred West of Hardeeville, Hoziel(John) Porter of St. Helena, Bernice Smalls of North Carolina, Ethel Gore of Georgia, Leila (Michel) Bryant of Georgia, brothers-in-law; Levon McPherson of Hardeeville,W. T (Yolanda) Gregory of Colombia, S.C, like a brother; Ivory West (Vermel) Jones Georgia, Wilbur Akin of Hardeeville, god sisters; Pearl Gerstel of NY, Cora Barrelli of TX, Marvelyn Holmes and Cynthia Holmes of St. Helena, aunts; Geneva Williams of Dellwebb, Margaret Primus of Hardeeville, uncles; Charles Brown of Florida, Isiah West of Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Margie Gregory, 63 of St Helena Island, SC passed away at her home on June 30, 2020. She was the wife of Arnold Gregory. 
A public viewing will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020, at the Gregory's residents from 4-7 PM located 19 at Gregory Drive, St. Helena Island. 
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 4, 10:30 AM at the Gregory's residence with burial in the Oak Field Oaks community cemetery.
