Sarah Devore

Sarah Theresa “Tee” Devore was born in Beaufort, South Carolina on January 28, 1991, to Otis T. and the late Leila Depont Devore. Sarah was educated in the Jasper County public school system and was a 2010 Jaguar graduate of Jasper County
High School.
On February 11, 2007 Sarah found and dedicated her life to Christ and became a First Euhaw Baptist Church member, with Reverend Allen Galloway presiding as Pastor. Along Sarah’s adventurous journey, she was blessed to become a loving mother to three beautiful children, whom Tee loved and lived for everyday. Tee was currently employed as a ware- house supervisor in Port Wentworth, Georgia.
In 2017, Tee graduated from Virginia College, where she received her massage Therapist Certificate. She was a creative, fun spirit soul with a strong entrepreneurial mindset. She took on many passions and had an incredible artistic talent. Some of her talents were creating and de- signing furniture, hair and body accessories and T-shirts, as well as offer- ing massage therapy, to even owning a juice bar. Not only was Tee pri- vate and quite, but she was also fearless, independent, sensitive and incredibly compassionate. Tee cared deeply for the people around her and had a soft spot in her heart for women like her who shared similar backgrounds as herself. One of her innermost desires was to create an organization that would encourage social, emotional and intellectual well-being in young black women. She found comfort and peace in creat- ing a life of stability, love and light as she strived tirelessly to instill a love of learning strong moral values into her children and making sure that their dreams would be fulfilled. Tee will be forever missed, “Good, Better, Best, Never let it rest, Till your good is better and your better is best.”
Tee is preceded in death by her daughter; Breona Grooper; Mother,Leila Depont Devore; grandparents, Henry and Sarah Dupont, Theresa Devore and Raymond Hamilton; brother, Herbie Ford; uncles, Robert Lee Dupont and Mannie King.
Tee leaves to cherish her loving and caring memories; son, Raphael S. Groober; two daughters, Alivia T. Groober, and Mariah T. Jackson; their loving father, Jaret Jackson; loving Procter Cashmere, father, Otis T. De- vore; grandmother, Ovilda Chaney; brothers, Otis (Macie) Devore, of Rincon, GA, Kevin (Maleia) Dupont, Christopher (Shawnetta) Pinck- ney, of NC; sisters, Denise (Kevin) Fennell, Tammy (William) Green, of Augusta, GA; aunts.
