Isaiah 41:10

Sister Shirley Ann Jackson was born in Hampton County, South Carolina on April 19,1955 to the late Julius Atkins Sr. and Albertha Atkins.
Her family and friends affectionally called her “Shirl” or “Cat”. She was educated in the Hampton County public school system. At an early age, Shirley became a member of Hopewell CME Church, Scotia, South Carolina. She later moved her membership to Thankful Baptist Church, Estill, South Carolina. She was gainfully employed by Burger King in Hampton, South Carolina until the business closed.
Shirley was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her family and made a friend everywhere she went. She would extend her heart and her hands to make sure that everyone was taken care of and treated right. She was well known for her kind words, her love for jewelry, clothes, purses and church hats.
She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Joseph Jackson, Sr on September 3,1975 and to this union six children were born. One son, Joseph Jackson, Jr preceded her in death.
In addition to her husband, parents and son; one grandson, Warren Fulton Jr; sister, Virginia Miller; four brothers, Woodrow Atkins, Julius Atkins Jr., JC Atkins and Leroy Atkins preceded her in death.
Shirley went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Hampton Regional Medical Center, Hampton South Carolina.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: four daughters, Sandra Jackson, of Hardeeville, SC, Sakeria (Marvin) Hay, of Pooler, GA, Tiesha (Johnny Mack) Brown, of Estill, SC, and Cherlene (Richard) Hutchinson, of Furman, SC; son, Jermaine Jackson, of Furman, SC; a special granddaughter reared for nineteen years in the home, Ty-Kia Jackson; fifteen grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; two brothers, Willie (Cassandra) Atkins and William (Vertina) Atkins, both of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Daisy Drayton, of Charlotte, NC and Janie (Sam) Housey, of Tarboro, SC; a special niece, Loretta Warren, of Estill, SC; two brothers-in-law, Curtis Lee (Cheryl) Jackson, of Luray, SC, and Lawrence Jackson, of Scotia, SC; three sisters-in-law, Queenie Atkins, of Scotia, SC, Ella Mae Jackson, of Savannah, GA, and Mary (Willie) Jones, of Stormville, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends

Shirley Jackson 67, of Estill, SC answered the master's call on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Hampton Regional Hospital.
