Susan Murdaugh Jackson was the beloved daughter of the
late Seabrook and Rena Mae Murdaugh. She was born on
January 18, 1967, in Colleton County, South Carolina.
Susan aka “Sue”, was educated in the Jasper County, South
Carolin public school system. She attended Jasper County
High School, receiving her high school diploma.
Susan served as a faithful member at the Church of God of
Prophecy, in Tarboro, South Carolina for over thirty years.
She was employed as a Dietician at Ridgeland Nursing Home
and parttime at Ridgeland Hospital for over twenty-six years.
Sue was a passionate people’s person. She was a loving wife,
mother, daughter, sister, cousin and aunt. Her greatest joy in
life was her love for her family and church.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Otis;
sister, Alma; and a beloved daughter, Erica.
On Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Medical University of
South Carolina (MUSC), Charleston, South Carolina, God
called her name and answering his call she gained her wings
and went home to be with the Lord.
Sue leaves to cherish her loving memories; her devoted
husband, Minister Deacon Larry Jackson, Sr., of the home,
Pineland, SC; daughter, Monique (Billy) Bolt, of Clearwater,
FL; son, Larry Jackson, Jr. “LJ”, of Pineland, SC; sister,
Dolly Wilson, of Tillman, SC; two brothers, Hezekiah
“Zeke” Murdaugh, of Tillman, SC, and Bernard (Rose)
Murdaugh, of Charleston, SC; five brothers-in-law; eight
sisters-in-law; four grandchildren, Erica and Jaxson Bolton,
and Jackson, III and Addilynn Jackson; who loved her
unconditionally; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends.
Susan Jackson 57, of Ridgeland, SC passed way at MUSC in Charleston on June 17,2024.
