Theah Denise Spann, affectionately known as “Miss Butterfly” was born on October 3, 1962, in Chatham County, Georgia, to the late Abraham and Gladys Blake Spann.
Theah was a 1980 graduate of Savannah High School. She later attended Atlanta University in
Atlanta, Georgia. For 33 years, Theah was employed at Seabrook of Hilton Head, Hilton Head, South Carolina as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
She also had an extended career as a Private Care Nurse.
Theah was a faithful member and Sunday School Teacher at Carey Hill Baptist Church in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents; her brother, Treyond Spann, and sister, Tonya Spann. On Monday, August 22, 2022, Theah Denise Spann received her wings and flew into the arms of Jesus. Theah leaves to cherish fond memories to her devoted children: Santwan Spann, of Garden City, GA,
Brandon Spann (Kisha), of Hilton Head, SC, and Lashay Spann, of Savannah, GA; brother, Tyrone Spann (Linda), of Savannah, GA; sister-in-law, Lorraine Spann, of Ridgeland, SC six grandchildren, Zaiyon Wilson, Lenari Wilson, Jasiah Wilson, Jakavious Spann, Kha’larion Spann, and Makyala Spann; a special friend, Darlene Shaw; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
Thea Spann of Hardeeville, SC departed this earthly life to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, August 22, 2022.
